This late afternoon light at Evans Head was a wondrous mix of cool and warm colours. The combination of deep shadow and full sunlight on the headland was intriguing, and I am particularly drawn to the way a sunlit, reflected object will retain its full illumination, even if the water reflecting it is in strong shade. The predominantly purple and raw sienna hues are complimentary colours, which adds to the overall unity and impact of the scene.
